Meet the Principal

Meet Matthew Legg, Principal at RISE Wilroads Campus! Legg is a graduate of Cheyenne Wells High School (class of 2000) and has earned degrees in B.S. in Education w/ an emphasis in Social Studies from Chadron State College (2004) and has his Masters in Administration from Chadron State (2007). Legg has a district leadership and ESoL endorsement from Fort Hays State University.  He has been in education for 18 years.

Q: What is your favorite part about your job?

A: I enjoy working with students and watching their successes no matter how little the success may be.  The best part of the job is when a student is able to fully transition back to their home school and be successful there.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 kids Bradyn and McKinley.  We enjoy going to ball games and spending time with family.

Q: Any fun facts about you?

A: We host a Dodge City A’s player each summer and enjoy going to games in the summer.   I love watching the Denver Broncos.
